A Modern Update for St. Joseph Hall’s 1929 Construction
Franjo recently completed a renovation at one of Carlow University’s halls – St. Joseph Hall. According to Carlow University, the hall was originally built in 1929 and was ready for an upgrade.
The newly renovated space is a recreational hall, with rooms for exercise and wellness activities.
It is 27,275 square feet. This modern space provides students and faculty with amenities including:
- A gymnasium
- 4 additional basketball backboards
- Dance room
- Fitness center
- Offices
- Lockers
- Hospitality
Additionally, there is a cardiovascular center, strength training area, and a studio for fitness classes. The fitness studio will offer classes from dance to yoga, to aerobics, and more. This will offer the dance team, cheer squad, and theater groups alike to have a modern space to practice in. Bonus amenities include a suite for massages and relaxation, as well as a recovery room for trainers and athletes.
The lead architect on this project was Maclachlan, Cornelius & Filoni Architects and Planners (MCF).
