Franjo Wins Family Business Award

Franjo Recognized for the Pittsburgh Business Times Family Business Award

The Family Business Awards is presented each year by the Pittsburgh Business Times. It honors multigenerational family-owned businesses in the Pittsburgh area. As a family-owned and operated business, Franjo Construction is proud to announce the company was selected as a 2019 winner for this honorary award. The ceremony was held on May 8, 2019, at the Westin Convention Center Hotel.

In order to be eligible for the Family Business Award, a business must fit certain criteria. First, it must be multigenerational, with a minimum of two generations of family involvement in the company. Also, eligible companies must be based in western Pennsylvania, and employed family members must also be working in the region. Nominations are then reviewed by a panel of judges and the Pittsburgh Business Times editorial staff. Winners are selected based on overall excellence, innovation, ethics, and philanthropy. Sponsors of the annual event do not participate in the judging process, nor do any Pittsburgh Business Times advertising staff.

Franjo is a locally recognized general contractor, construction manager, and design/builder, headquartered in Homestead, PA. Franjo was founded in 1997 by Frank Leonello (CEO), and his son Joe Leonello (President). With that, Franjo Construction has been a family-owned business from the start. At Franjo, we believe in building lasting relationships. We believe exceptional people deliver exceptional results, so every employee is treated like family and is dedicated to the company core values of respect, honesty, and integrity.

It is truly an honor to be recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times for the Family Business Awards. We could not have been recognized without the Leonello family, and the professional family Franjo has become over the years.
