For construction in Pennsylvania, physical operations have largely been on hold since late March. On April 23, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf released a statement which allowed construction to resume on May 1, 2020. Naturally, there are a number of guidelines that construction professionals must adhere to in order to protect the health and safety of everyone on the site.
Franjo Construction is excited to again bring you project status updates. At the time of this post, we are serving as the General Contractor on 16 active projects. Most of these are in the Pittsburgh area, and one is near Morgantown, WV. We are excited again to bring you some updates on these once-again active sites.
Aldi (Sabraton, WV)
Franjo Construction is proud of its lasting partnership with grocery chain Aldi. Over the past 12 years, Franjo Construction has been the official General Contractor for Aldi establishments in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. In fact, our dedicated team has built more than 100 stores throughout the past 12 years, with over $75,000,000 in revenue. Most of the locations are in Pennsylvania, but Franjo has expanded its services into other states such as Ohio, West Virginia (like this one), and Florida. In fact, we completed the build of the Wexford, PA location in just 51 days.
Apartment Buildings at Locust & Miltenberger
Two apartment buildings are currently under construction just around the corner from each other: Locust Street (left) & Miltenberger Street (right) in Pittsburgh’s Uptown. Developer McAllister Equities is putting up two buildings that will contain 8 units each. Franjo Construction is serving as the General Contractor, once again working with Indovina Associates Architects. Beesontown Shoppes
Beesontown Shoppes is a retail strip mall currently and freestanding building under construction in Uniontown, PA. The future home of Starbucks, Primanti Bros., AT&T, and Mattress Warehouse will contain over 24,000 SF when complete. The site was designed by Pieper O’Brien and Herr Architects, and leasing is being handled by CBRE.
711 S. Negley Ave
A new condominium building is underway at 711 S. Negley Ave. in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood. These luxurious homes will feature contemporary, upscale design elements and plenty of windows for natural light. Floor plans, sale information, and virtual tours can be found here.
