NAIOP Pittsburgh is one of the largest commercial real estate organizations in the region. It hosts an Annual Awards Banquet each year to honor the top projects. Months prior, a submission period is open to collect information on projects that people want to nominate. There are a few categories, and each has its own strict requirements. Following the end of the submission period, a committee reviews the projects and selects one winner for each category
In 2022, the 29th annual event, NAIOP Pittsburgh recognized The Commonwealth Building as the Multifamily Renovation of the Year. This selection was in large part due to the project representing the desired trend within Pittsburgh’s Central Business District (CBD) of converting aging or vacant office buildings into multifamily. Nearly 900 of the industry’s finest were hosted at Stage AE to honor this and other projects.
